Celebrating Heritage Day.
I know, I say this every.single.year...but honestly, Heritage Day is probably my favourite public holiday. Spring has just started, so Joburg is slowly turning into her prettiest. We get to braai. We get a day off. We get to celebrate all of our differences. What's not to love?
This year, we packed up the braais and headed down to our local lake...
Arrived home with dirty feet, a dodgy suntan and covered in sticky sweets...all signs of an awesome day.

Sigh ... I just miss SA so much, esp this time of year when it starts getting warmer and festive season starts to roll in. Glad you all had a fun Heritage Day.

That looks like a fabulous day out! Filled with the very best of SA things - to eat and of course, the people. We have two little boys that celebrate their birthdays the day after so it was a perfect day for a party - but we did braai that night
And it was lekker seeing all the waitresses here dressed up in traditional dress. :)
