I remember our garden in Noordhoek used to get them all the time, then in Durbanville, almost never, now here in the Yoo-kay of course very common when it's wet. The one thing that amazes me though, is even given how often it's *wet* here, water drains away really quickly where we are - so we can have a torrential rain storm and the next day - the puddles are just *gone* - interesting!
My husband and I fly to Zimbabwe on Saturday! AH! I love that it's starting to be summer there..... it's SO cold here in Cincinnati Ohio. Wishing we had more time and could make it into SA to see you, but maybe next time! :)
Hi, I'm Hayley...I am a working Joburg Mom to twins, Harper and Jackson. Doing life with Francois {aka TF} by my side. Welcome to this little blog of mine. It's just a little place for me to capture all my memories, photos, recipes, and of course...everything in between.

Talking about mushrooms in one's garden, this is something I haven't seen in a very long time. And I too get excited to see them in anyone's garden :)

Now start looking for the little gnomes...they are bound to be out there.
