State of my Nation.

In the spirit of our countries State of our Nation address yesterday, I decided to update you on the State of my Nation.

As at yesterday, at around 11h00: I was over it, gatvol, done, finished and klaar.
This whole renovating thing {and please know, that when I say 'renovating'...I am just meaning new floors, paint on the walls, new skirting...that is it. Nothing drastic here folks}. As much as I love decorating and stuff, yesterday was my tipping point. We've spent SO much more money than we thought, and it is just one thing after another.

As at yesterday, at around 17h00: I was ecstatic, bouncing off the walls, excited, bring it on.
After calming down to a panic yesterday, I popped in to see what the house looked like...the last contractor was due to be finished yesterday afternoon....and he was! Oh my word...I am in love with what we have done, and I am so glad we didn't back down and go with something easier, or keep what was there....just to make it easier. I love it. I love it. I love it. And it's made all the frustration so worth it!

And if I am being honest, the frustration has absolutely nothing to do with the contractors we have used, they have all being brilliant...I think I was just in that head space, of wanting everything just done.
And we've been so lucky to at least have the whole of Feb to do these changes...so I really shouldn't be complaining.

Here are some pics, of what we have done so far.
We start some serious moving this weekend...wish us luck!
