Happy New Year.

Even though I am clearly not Chinese...it is the year of the rabbit...and having been born in 1975, a rabbit year...this has to be my year right? and so far so good...so I am celebrating it!

In fact, today I was listening to some colleagues, who have been going to the Chinese New Year celebrations in China Town, and they say that they are awesome. If we weren't so busy with this house, we would so be going...so next year it is.

And in other news....um...well not much. Other than  house stuff, and  I am desperately trying to not bore you all to death with pictures and updates of paint colours and moving boxes. But we are getting there slowly. We are planning to move a week earlier than originally planned...so things are moving into high gear now.

This afternoon we took our first swim in our new pool...and now I'm off to have cheese, biscuits and wine for dinner on the stoep...it's a magnificent summers evening...

Xin Nian Kuai Le!
Happy New Year!

We've been to Chinese New Year in Derrick Ave, Cyrildene! It's a lot of fun, if you like fireworks, but boy! Pretty noisy! The food of course is always great!
Good Luck with your move! Take the opportunity to have a good clean out! :) I need to have one of those!
