This award entails that I reveal seven truths about myself and then pass this award on to seven blogs.
I’ve tried to think of seven things about me that I haven’t ever mentioned on this blog…so here goes…seven things you might or might not know about me…
Don’t think I’ve ever mentioned that one. I got it done in the December of 1999. I had always wanted one, but the day we decided to get it was a spur of the moment thing. I’ve never regretted it…I think mainly because I forget its there...I do love tattoos, and am always umming and aaahing around getting another one.
Ironically, even though it was a spur of the moment decision…if I think back to that specific time, it was one of the most significant times of my life. Things happened during that month, that shaped a lot of things for me. So the tattoo does remind me of that time.
I love my country.
Okay, so that’s no secret. I am passionate about her…warts and all, and will defend her when I can. However, that does not mean I don’t see the flaws and all the problems we have. Some people think I live with my head in the sand. I don’t. I am very aware of what’s going on, and see it daily and criticize along with everyone else. I don’t think that everything is perfect and all rosy. I do though, choose to try and focus on the positive where I can. If I had to constantly point out the negative…I would drive myself insane.
I collect cookie cutters.
For no other reason than I saw Nigella collects them. Lame I know. But I do love them, and have gotten a lot of use out them. And trying to find new and unique shapes is fun.
I love interior decorating.
It’s funny…when I think back to when I was a little girl, my most favourite thing to do was reorganise my room. So, I think I have loved decorating from then already.
I spend a small fortune on home magazines every month, and could spend hours upon hours in the home stores. We are currently renting…and I cannot wait to get our own home, so that I can start renovating and decorating.

I love America.
Again...no secret there. After South Africa...America is by favourite country. I have been fortunate to have visited the country twice, and I fall in love with the place each time I go there. I might be a little obsessed with it...just a little.
I love the fifties.
I was totally born in the wrong century. I love everything about that time.
I love television.
TF and I are both addicted to TV. Which I suppose is a good thing...at least we both love it. We can spend hours in front of the box....so wrong I know...but we love it.
And that's it...just some random stuff about me...
So here goes...
Lipgloss Ninja
Juggling Act of Life
A Work in Progress
Family Stone
Shayne
Fancy That
An Ordinary Life
And of course anyone who feels like playing along...

So great to hear someone who is so passionate about SA - there are so many people who arent!
And yes, I collect cookie cutters too - always on the lookout for new and exciting ones to experiment with.

So with you on the interior thing - since a little girl!!! As for the 50s, it seems that we were both born in the wrong era! Thanks for participating!!!
These are the posts I love most Hayley...and I see that I am tagged. I loved reading more about you, and a lot of the things on your list is new to me. Maybe you and Shayne should come and visit me and do a serious interior decorating thing here. I will do a post on my 7 things tomorrow.
