...I have just discovered...make a perfect combination.
I have never been a pancake, crumpets, waffles kinda girl. They don't appeal to me at all. That was until, I needed to keep three {make that four, if you include the husband} men occupied for two hours this morning.
The genius in me, decided to whip up some pancakes for breakfast...
It was my first time ever making pancakes....and considering there was nothing left, I don't think I did to badly.....and, I did discover the pure joy and decadence of having pancakes on a Sunday morning...think this could easily become a tradition in this household.
What have I been missing?

Hayley - we have either pancakes, waffles or crumpets every sunday morning. It is now a tradition and something we cannot do without! On the Monday olivia will ask dean - dad can we have waffles on sunday, just to get the order in.
And waffles this morning were covered in Lyles golden syrup and fresh cream!
Wow, that sounds and looks like so much fun! Def the perfect Sunday morning!
Guess what I'm going to have to do next sunday? We used to have American Pancakes at a wee restaurant we frequented on Saturday mornings in Edinburgh - Pancakes with maple syrup and a side of crispy bacon! My mouth is watering...
We do pancakes on Sunday's too - more often than not - and sometimes the Pioneer Womans cinnamon rolls. It's usually because we're out of bread (for toast) and pancakes/cinnamon rolls are easy to knock up from scratch - with a bit of flour/butter/eggs etc.
By the way - Woolies sell GENUINE Canadian Maple Syrup. Usually that only crops up at PnP near Christmas but I just noticed WW started stocking it year round. It's SO MUCH better than that golden syrup synthetic goo.
the pancakes look so yummy!
Oh that looks so good! I always keep some cream in the fridge for the weekend. I just love making scones and then having them with strawberry jam and cream. OH YUM!
I LOVE pancakes :) And crumpets.
These look lovely :)
Oh I couldn't tell you the last time I had pancakes, but I heart them!!
Of course that's when people cook them for me... Maybe I should have come to your house for breakfast yesterday!
Yummy...that looks like one tradition that I could easily follow.
Love, love, love pancakes. When we were kids we used to go camping a lot and in the campsite where called the Pancake Family. My mom used to make them on the Skottle... YUMMY!
I don't have them that much any more but might have to start a Sunday tradition in our house too...
Hayley, after two days of gastro, the pics of your pancakes are the first thing to make me feel hungry!
