We did it!

They said they stadiums would not be ready.
They said no one would buy tickets.
They said that crime would take over.
They said there would be chaos.
They said no one would come.
They said we could not do it.

They were wrong!

We did it South Africa! We showed the world what we could do, what Africa could do. I have never been more proud of my country right now.
That closing ceremony was spectacular, and even more spectacular...was having our Madiba there!

And yes, I know...this World Cup does not solve our many problems, it wont, we still have so many issues to deal with.

But what it has done...is finally shown South Africa in a positive light, it's shown the world that there is more to us, than crime, corruption etc. Its proven that if we all work together we can get things right here...we just need to do it now. And most importantly...is united us in ways that no one thought possible.

I pray, that every single one of us in South Africa, takes the feeling and makes a difference, no matter how small it is. Lets not let this spirit die. I am not going too.

Lets keep our flag flying high!

South Africa, you are an amazing country...warts and all...and I am so proud to be a part of you.

We did it!

PS. Good luck to Brazil for 2014...we are behind you 100%!

I could not agree more! I think we did a marvellous job, and the warmth and love of our people will encourage our foreign friends back, over and over!

Yay SA!

Am so so proud of our Country right now. Last night's ceremony was real goosebump stuff.

I heard on the radio today that we had the 3rd most spectators (3.8 million i think)in the world cups todate. Behind America and Netherlands. So we did good!
