Don't' get me wrong...there a few other things, but those are things that you can do those on holiday's.
But oh, I so do miss the cold wet winters.
Yes, I am kinda weird like that. I live in a city, which has undoubtedly the best climate around...but not for me. Whilst I still believe it gets colder in Joburg during the mornings and evenings, by 9 o'clock (on most winter days) its warmed up and its basically a cool summers day.
So while, this is fantastic for the majority of the population {across the world}...not for me. I love the cold and the wet. I love that it can stay like that for weeks in Cape Town. I love the fact that you actually need a winters wardrobe. In Joburg, I just added some boots, scarf, a few extra jerseys and jackets. When we lived in Cape Town, I literally had an extra winter wardrobe...wellies, vests, stockings, way more jackets and scarves, and my best hats! I even carried an umbrella in my car...have never done that in Joburg.
So yes, while I am thrilled to be back in Joburg...there is only one thing that would make me go back...a wet and cold, miserable Cape Town winter....*sigh*

Yes, bring it on. I love cold and wet too!
I agree. Our winters on the farm are flippin freezing, but no rain. You need rain to make it feel like winter!
I really am a summer baby but what I really hate about Gauteng winters is how dry and warmish it gets in the middle of the day and so very cold at night and in the mornings.
I am so with you on this one.
