go and vote.

So, tomorrow is the big day. We vote. Yay. I seriously hope you are all voting.

Can you believe I still meet people who don’t vote because…
a) It’s just one vote it wont make a difference; or
b) I don’t believe in any of the political parties, do it does not matter.

My answer to point a)….lets not even go there, if you are that stupid, you don’t deserve an answer. Seriously, I ain’t gonna waste my time. When people say that, it frustrates the hell out of me.

My answer to point b)….I am going to use something that Michael Moore said...okay, okay…before you stop reading. I do not agree with everything the man says, but in Sicko, or was it Farenheit {can’t remember, but it does not matter}. He was answering the same question, about not being aligned to any plitical party. He says….and I am not quoting word for word here...
That if you are fixing a car and you are using a spanner and it does not work, do you keep using that spanner? Or do you pick up another spanner and give that a try. If that one doesn’t work, you put it down and try another. The thing is, you don’t just keep on using the first one that did not work, you at least try other options. And you keep on trying.

When I heard him say this, I wanted to kiss the man. I was like…YES, EXACTLY!

What don’t people get? Why don’t people think it is important to vote?
I just don’t understand.

Go and vote people....oh, and enjoy the public holiday.
