But in the mean time, I have these great memories to look back on...
After picking up my Mom at the airport, we headed to our favourite little restaurant in Gordons Bay, Miguels Al Forna. We basically live there, it's right on the beachfront and its one of those places that does not look like much from the outside, but has the most amazing food and atmosphere.
Eating ice-cream from the little shop next door. I don't think this shop has changed since the 80's and neither have the prices. I even feel guilty buying there, because it is so cheap.
Saturday, we headed of Canal Walk for some retail therapy, and then spent the rest of the day relaxing home.

We also got to meet the other locals too, the seals. Who hang around waiting for any scrap of fish they can get, and judging from the size, they ain't doing to badly. They are way to cute and the kids (okay us too) love them...
We then had lunch at Live Bait, what a great little restaurant. Before heading back to the airport we stopped off for a quick walk on Muizenberg beach. What is it about those little beach huts that always get me excited, no matter how many times I see them?
Another great weekend. Thanks Mom for an awesome weekend and for even better memories, we miss you already.

With regards to the sharks. Yip, there are great whites here, especially in this bay, False Bay. Surfers get attacked but very seldom, its still safe to swim.
