For a while now my husband has been shaving his head. Our hairdresser charges him R120 ($17) for a haircut, which is just ridiculous! So we decided to buy a shaver so that we could shave his head at home, and maybe save a few Rand.
Anyway, we found this really cool Toni&Guy one, that he can use himself.
In true Francois style, before we have even unpacked the rest of our shopping, he has opened the box and whipped out the shaver, plugged it in - in the kitchen I might add, with no mirror. Yip, before checking which number he has in the shaver, he shaves a great big line over the top of his head.
So the man I chose to marry and be the father of my children one day, is now walking around the house like this...
With an inverted mohawk!
"oh no!" he says!
Yes, he will shave the rest tomorrow, but seriously, do they ever think?
Men!

Cool! What an awesome haircut. He should keep it just like that.
:)
No please, I have to walk around with him! Dont give him any ideas :-)
Thank you David, I am going to rock the Inverted Mohawk around Cape Town from now on.
That whole 'unpack/plugin/rightthere' thing drives me nuts with my hubby too. I think it's hilarious though - what happened (and probably just what he deserved for being so male and impulsive!!!!!) Shame...one does pity the poor things occasionally though. I suppose that's why we keep them around? :)
hey Ness, I agree...keep them around for laugh hey?
And we can carry heavy stuff....
hi hayley! thanks for leaving a comment on the blog. we are on very similar adventures!
it took me almost 3 1/2 years to write that first blog entry and God has been so faithful since...providing in ways I would least expect. it doesn't get easier, but you learn to see blessings in a new way and allow Him to meet your needs rather than other things. hang in there and come back anytime!
