The genius of...

Now I know what you are thinking! I thought the same thing, when a friend pulled this out of her pantry. Rice in a packet...that has to be the laziest thing ever! But let me explain. One - me and TF are the worst rice makers in the world...that fluffy and white thing...never happens. And in just two minutes...these little packets cook it perfectly. Two - it's just the right portion size for the two of us. No waste. Three - it comes in some awesome varieties. And four - again...it takes two minutes!
So if you are wondering, whether I have been living under a rock for the last...say 100 years, the answer is no. Of course I know Dis-chem, and frequent their premises regularly. But, I have never ever held any repeat scripts there, I usually use my local pharmacy. But for my last two repeat scripts I happened to use Dis-chem. That's not genius at all - I hear you. What is genius...is me being able to collect my script at any Dis-chem store across the country - oh.em.gee! Okay, now I agree with you...I have obviously been living under a rock for the last...say 100 years. Why have I only discovered the awesomeness of this now...who knows....but let me tell you, it's making life so much easier.
Firstly, let's just take a moment to first acknowledge the genius of whoever came up with Bubbly. And then, to not only have it in regular and extra gigantic size...but to now have it in this teeny tiny size, perfect for my the husbands lunch box. Genius.

And the last, but not least on my genius finds...the king of all genius'ness. The rusk on a stick! There are actually no words to describe this life changing, beyond awesome, what took us so long, brilliance. Only Woolworths of course...
Just a few my genius finds this month...

LOL. I agree you've been living under a rock ;) ;)
I love dischem as I always have repeat prescriptions (don't I sound like a junkie) and love the flexibility of going to any of their pharmacies. I think clicks have the same thing too.

My siblings love Cadbury's chocolate but there's nothing I can do to make them like bubbly :(

OYAKM! (translates: Oh You Are Kidding Me)
I saw those things at Woollies and thought, "look! There's something on a stick." and that's about where it ended. That is brilliant. Especially since I hate having to adjust my fingers so only my nails are on the last teeny bit of rusk that needs dunking.

Blast! PS: Clicks is also an across-the-country prescription pharmacy... does that make sense?... Any store across the country has record of your repeat prescriptions... better!

I am not sure whether I should be happy or sad you are blogging regularly again - you are NOT good for my waist line!

Love and know all of these apart from the rice which seems pure lunch time brilliance to me.

Hi Hayley,

I do so love those packets of rice.

I must just say - try the Pick 'n Pay Basmati rice - follow the microwave cooking directions and you'll have divine rice that takes all of 15 minutes to prepare ;-)

Have a lekker day now

The rice is genius. I always manage to burn the white stuff. I love Clicks for the same reason.

OMG! Packet rice Hayley? Ok, no judgement. The rusks-on-a-stick however, I must agree is truly genius. Only discovered it this week. Brilliant stuff! No finger tip dipping at the end of the rusk.

(I don't like DiscChem because there are ALWAYS queues). The clicks at village view is divine!

I'll definitely try the rice - I HATE cooking rice - takes so long!
