Christmas Eve.

This year, we once again headed back to Cape Town for Christmas. We caught the afternoon flight out of Joburg on Christmas Eve There really is something special about being in a bustling airport on Christmas Eve...carols are playing, people are all rushing off somewhere special to be, wrapped presents sticking out of bags, families reuniting, lights twinkling...it just feels good.

We arrived in Cape Town, with enough time to grab an ice cream and a walk on the beach. And what a spectacular Christmas Eve it was...totally breathtaking.
We headed home for the annual Christmas Eve braai...under a perfect African sunset...
And we finished off the evening by...tracking Santa, braaing candy cane marshmallows..
...taking in the Christmas lights...
...and of course making sure that the carrots for the reindeer, a mince pie and juice for Santa, and Santa's magic key were all carefully placed....
We were ready...
Without a doubt one of the most beautiful Christmas Eves's ever...
