Winter weekend getaway {part one}

The last long weekend before Spring arrived, a group of us headed south, to the eastern Free State. Too a little town called Clarens. Having last been here when I was still in primary school, and hearing the awesome things about it, we were very excited to finally be there.

We left after work on the Friday, and arrived at Claridge House in the pitch dark. So we only got to really see where we were staying the next morning. The house is situated on a farm just outside the little town...and is just picture perfect. Here are a few pics of the house...
After a breakfast on the stoep...
We headed into the little town, for some exploring, lunch and a little shopping...
Completely shopped out, we headed home, where we spent the rest of the day, relaxing around the house, exploring the farm, braaing...and just enjoying the place..
It was a good, good day...
