Random acts of kindness.

This was my Saturday morning...

While making my way through the aisles of our local Woolies...one of the car guards from the parking lot, comes running towards me, waving his arms in the air and clearly out of breathe.
Some how {because it clearly wasn't my fault} my car had free wheeled backwards across three rows of parking!
Thank heavens it was still really early, so there were hardly any cars in the parking lot...but he had guided my car around the few ones that were there, and made sure no one drove into it. He made sure it was safe...and then hunted me down in the shop.
I don't know who was more shocked...him or me. We both kinda just stood there for a few minutes with our eyes wide open...just starting at my car, which was now standing at an angle in the middle of this giant parking lot.
I could not thank him enough.

A few minutes later, I am back in Woolies and busy paying for my stuff, when I notice my bank card is missing. Complete panic. I rummage through every conceivable hole in my bag, wallet, jacket. Praying as I went.
I pay for my staff stuff...and quickly check my bank balance on my cell phone...and see that no money has been taken out of it {well what was left in it}. Relief.
I floor it home, to check to see if it's not in any of my jackets from the night before. Nothing.
The last time I remember using it, was at our local curry house. I keep checking my balance...and all is fine. So I start calming down...just a little.
I finally manage to get how of the curry house, and wait anxiously for the manager to go and see if any cards were left behind.
And yes...it's there! Safe and sound.
I could not thank him enough.

And this was all before 10h00 on a Saturday morning...

Your story reminds me of my golf one day. One morning I went into Dunkin Donuts to get coffee before work. I was standing in line when I saw my then two day old Gti rolling past the window into traffic. I forgot to put the handbrake up. I ran out to get the car, thank goodness everybody could stop.

Sho! What a Saturday morning you had. Those are wonderful strangers that helped you - the hand of God if you ask me.
Glad everything turned out for the good.

Oh boy, thank heavens you go to Woolies early and the parking lot was relatively empty. You were very lucky and kudo’s to the car guard, he did an awesome job of steering the car away from it crashing into something.

Stories like this makes me warm and fuzzy. There is good in the world.
