Auckland Day 7: Me, the boys, and the beaches.

So after spending the last few days out and about, we decided to spend this rainy day, lazying around the house. This is one of the things I love about our trips to NZ, we get to spend days on the couch...doing nothing. Unlike other overseas holidays, where you are on the go the whole time...

The day consisted of setting up blogs for my niece and nephew, temple run {addiction to the game had set in}, watching the SuperBowl live...and just vegging...
Then, in the afternoon, once the rain had cleared, me, my brother-in-law, and my nephew {just the three of us} went on a drive to see some the beaches around their town. For those of you that don't know Auckland, it's a mass of many inlets, little beaches are everywhere...

First stop...Buckland beach...
We then headed up to Musick Point...where there is a lookout, and you can take the very steep steps down to the beach...
We made a quick stop at Eastern Beach...
Our final stop was Cockle Bay...
What I loved about today, was not the stunning beaches, or the views...it was the fact that could easily and so comfortably spend time with these two guys on my own...

Brian and I have both married into this family, but yet it feels like he is my big brother...how lucky could I get....

Today was extra special for me...thanks Brian!

Your nephew looks like a bundle of energy - is there a running career in his future? :)
