13 December, 2011

...we put on the gammon, played carols, sat around the Christmas tree, stuffed the turkey, we baked, opened gifts, pulled crackers, even wore the paper hats...and just had an awesome day as a family.

You see it was officially our Christmas Day. For the first time in my thirty six years, I won't be spending Christmas Day with the family. So we decided, it doesn't have to be the 25th December...it can be any day. As long as we get a day, that we can all just be together...and it was perfect...
How lucky am I too be a part of this crazy, mad bunch of people...I simply adore them...

PS. Not really the traditional 10th day of Christmas, I know...but I liked the title :-)

Love that you all were determined to have Christmas together. Beautiful, all of it. The group shot is the greatest.

THIS (this!) was the one thing I forgot to talk to you about in person.

I remember last year (?) you wrote about a friends Christmas and I think it's a FABULOUS idea!

Are you still having the friends one?

And then... your whole event looks gorgeous. Gorgeous!!! Love the cake too - I think I'm hungry - and all the food.

And esp the crazy pics :)
