It's a small world after all.

When I joined Twitter a few years back, one the first people I started following was a guy called LJD...for one reason only...his bio read: 'Proud South African in Boston'. Hello! Instant follow!

And over time, him, TF, and I chatted about a million things over twitter. TF and LJ hit it off instantly, as they are both Red Sox and sports fans...and LJ even sent TF a Red Sox shirt all the way from Boston. I also quickly discovered that LJ's wife {Kirsten} has her own blog, South of the Sahara. And the rest, you can say, is basically history, we have all become instant online friends...I love this online world....

Anyhoo, it was during one of the millions of conversations on Twitter, that TF and LJ discovered that the house we used to live in Alberton, was in the same street as Kirsten's Dad. We couldn't believe the coincidence. Fast forward a few days, and we get a message from LJ, just double checking the number of the house we lived in...and can you believe you it...Kirsten's parents were in fact our neighbours for a good number of years. They lived right next door to us! Which means not only, did we drive past each other like a millions times, we probably braaied along side each other a few times.
And here we are meeting by chance on Twitter, from the other side of world...it's a ridicolously small world.

And this morning, we finally got to meet them! LJ and Kirsten are out here on holiday, and they took a few hours out of their day, to meet us for breakfast. I don't think we stopped talking for two seconds...

And on top of that, look what I got...
Each Starbuck ornament, depicts the change of their logo. Plus it included their holiday edition for 2011. Now if you remember, way back to 2009, a friend dropped off a surprise package...it was the holiday edition 2009. So now, I have a collection...mmm...I can see this becoming an addiction...
LJ and Kirsten...thank you so much for our awesome gift, I adore it! But even more importantly, thank you so much for taking the time out to meet us...it means the world too us.

Next date...Boston!
