SPRINGbok Day.

Spring Day turned out to be one of those days...the ones that will forever be stored in the memory banks, as a truly special day.

We left worked early to catch the five o'clock train too Sandton.
We had hoped to catch a bit of the Springbok Farewell...we didn't expect to be caught up right in the middle of it. When we arrived in Sandton it was awash with green and gold...hundreds of flags and thousands of people...
The atmosphere was electric...and even though we were meant to have been at another function at six, we decided to stay and just soak it all up...from the flyovers, our Minister of Sports incredible, incredible speech, the crowd singing shosholoza...to the most memorable part...standing alongside my fellow South Africans belting out our National Anthem...there were many tears around us...
After wishing the boys well...we finally headed over to the Sandton iStore, for the very first iPhonegraphy Exhibition. A few weeks back South Africans on Instagram, were asked to submit the photos...and a few were chosen for the exhibition.
TF had five of his chosen...so we decided to pop over and have a look..
We couldn't stay long because we had another date...with friends at the amazing San Deck, at the Sandton Sun. Oh my word...another super awesome place in Jozi.
We spent the next few hours sipping on cocktails, soaking up the view...and just enjoying the vibe of our city at night....before hoping on the last train back home...
Another memorable day in this city of ours....

Good luck to our boys in Green and Gold...we're behind you all the way...

I just love how the Gautrain has revolutionised the lives of Gautengers! So divine that you can hop on and off and go just about anywhere - and travel is so safe too. It's amazing.

And stunning pics Hayley. LOVE them. You definately captured the atmosphere.

And how cute is your doggie in TF's pic?

oh Hayley ... you make me SO homesick. glad you guys got to be part of the send off. One of my fave things these days is listening to my 2yr old singing Shosholoza. I NEED to get that on video:) I'm not even a rugby person but I sure will be cheering our Boks on:)
