Signs of Spring.

As we rapidly approach the end of the year...little signs of Spring are popping up everywhere...most notably are the Weavers.
Amongst the bare branches, nests are ferociously being built, broken down and rebuilt...
This Winter girl, is very excited to have them back...as well all the other little signs of Spring...

Did you know that the male weaver bird will make 7 nests on average before his mate is satisfied? We lived in a house back in 2007 where this male weaver came and built a nest (in a tree over our pool) repeatedly, and she would just rip it to shreds, or look down her beak at it, and he'd go off elsewhere and try somewhere else. Of course as long as he wasn't maintaining it's structure, it ended up drying out and falling in our pool throughout the summer.

It's lovely to see all the signs of Spring all around. I also hear how much more one can hear all the birds sing. It's lovely
