A Phoebe update.

It's been another week of tears and trips to the vet.

On Monday we got the sad news, that our girl is indeed very sick...she has cancer. We await further test results, which will tell us what our options are. Monday and Tuesday were not good days for her...or for us. We are taking it day by day for now...

And as for our Phoebe girl....
Well her meds have kicked in today...and she is back to her normal self again. After a call to her vet today {an incredible and amazing man}, he is extremely positive that she is responding so well to the medication. So there is a big chance we will be able to continue with this medication for the next few months...a few months, we never thought we would have.

So we are hoping and praying that this is the case...

Thank you to all of you for your kind words via this blog, facebook and email...we appreciate it SO much.

These dogs mean the world too us...

Ah, I'm glad she's feeling better. It is so hard to see them deteriorate. But you can get satisfaction from knowing that you are making their last days comfortable. We brought or two babies with us, a 7 year old doxie and a 13 year old rottie. We worry about how much longer they have. You can see pictures of them in various posts on my blog at http://withoutcomplexities.blogspot.com

Ai Hayley. Thinking of you. My beloved Rottweiler also had cancer. It was a very difficult time for me then. Hope you still have a few months with her. Make the most of it. xxx

Hi Hayley
Sorry to hear about Phoebe, but I'm glad the meds are helping. My Bulldog was diagnosed with Lung Cancer last year and we were told he had only 3 weeks to live. He made it through 5 months and finally gave up on the day before his 11th birthday. The meds helped and he once again became the awesome, happy, bouncy bulldog he always was.

Praying all works out for you.
Tarryn
