Our Autumn Anniversary.

{Day One}

Ten years ago, when we decided on our wedding date...I remember being so happy that we were going to have a fall wedding. Autumn is my favourite season...so the colours of our wedding were deep reds, oranges and browns. And this past weekend...I realised again how much I love it.

We spent the weekend in Cape Town...and the winelands are putting on their best Autumn colours...it was simply spectacular....

Here are a few {ja...right} pics from our first day in the Cape...

We landed early on Thursday morning, and quickly popped in at the house...where my sweet parents had left us this...how cute are they?
Our one and only rule this weekend...was to not go to any place that we had been before...we were only going to try new things...

First on the list.... a road trip through Malmesbury...I love driving through little towns...and then on to Riebeek Kasteel.
What an awesome little town....I absolutely loved it! We shopped and had a quick lunch of vetkoek and mince, at a little gallery and antique shop...you can't get much better than that hey?
We then headed home...to get ready for our anniversary dinner...
We had dinner at the spectacular Waterkloof Wine Estate. We have been dying to eat at their restaurant ever since we popped in their a while back...but we decided to wait for a special occasion...and we thought this was special enough...

It was out of this world...the food was incredible...and the views are nothing short of extra-ordinary...
It was the perfect way to spend our tenth anniversary...

All these gorgeous photos and not a single one of Dan Carter?
Very disappointing ;o)
It looks like you had the most fabulous time... Riebeek Kasteel has been on our To Do list for a while and your post just clinched it for me.
Congrats on a wonderful milestone and wishes for many, many more happy years together.

xoxo

PS: Next time you're down here we really should try to get together :o)

Oh that was perfect - Dan Carter included LOL! I still insist that we will have (a belated) 10th anniversary trip when the kids are bigger.

Riebeek Kasteel is one of my most favorite places in the whole world. There's an olive boutique there that make olives in various dressings that are TO DIE FOR!
Happy Anniversary!
