A perfect fairytale.

Yes, I will admit...I have literally watched it over about a few hundred times...thanks to SkyNews and their million repeats...but this one time, I am not complaining.

Me and the BFF set up our little Royal Wedding camp at our house yesterday. We actually landed up watching it about an hour behind everyone...as the BFF had to rush home from work. It worked out perfectly...as we could fast forward through all the boring bits...even TF joined us for the ceremony.

I will admit too getting a little annoyed, leading up to the wedding...the news coverage, was just getting ridiculous, with all the speculation. But by the time Friday morning rolled around...excitement levels were through the roof.
So donned...in our slippers and socks...with blankets, scones, chocolate, flapjacks, warms cups of tea...and koeksisters...we literally did not move from the couch.
I started writing a list of all my favourite moments...but there are just too many to mention...from that incredible dress, to the cake, the bells, to the little moments between them...loved, loved, loved it...
But my favourite moment...when Kate stepped out on to the balcony, and you could see her mouth the words "Oh wow"...just a small reminder...that she is still just an ordinary girl...about to enter an extra-ordinary world...

There is no doubt in my mind, that these two are madly in-love...a perfect fairytale.

Such a fun day.

PS. TF's favourite moment: Pippa in that dress... :-)

Ditto, ditto, ditto!! Even my most hardcore "republican" ex-pat-Brit-lives-in-SA-now, sms'd me to say, "Ok, you win, I'm watching it, and loving it." That's how special it was! The hymns in the ceremony, were all very familiar to me, as I went to a very English girls anglican school, so I had a right trip down memory lane with that. The bells, and the organ, and the choir - it was like being in Heaven. She is SO stunning, absolutely the right person for 'the job'. I'm still looking for repeats on the TV!!

Wish I could have been there...in my slippers...sipping coffee and eating koeksisters;-)

Those words of her also struck me that she is still an ordinary girl, which is fabulous.

Wasn't going to watch, but ended up in front of the TV almost the whole day! I think she looked stunning.

You did the wedding day so well! I of course loved it too and all the moments you describe are right up there for me too. Our little cul de sac did nothing special unfortunately but there were a few street parties in other villages :(
