My birthday loot.

I just have to show you what I got for my birthday. My people know me so well...

From the husband {even though I made him promise not to get me anything}...a voucher to get my hair done. If you had to see what my roots look like, you will understand, how desperately this is needed. I think I cried when I saw it.

From my sister and her family...two recipe books. One is, Biscuiteers Book of Iced Biscuits. You have to see these biscuits...seriously amazing. Pam...you will love this book.
And the other was Evita's Kossie Sikelela. I must admit, when this book came out, as much as I love Evita.... didn't really pay much attention...until a friend recommended it. Oh my soul...this book should be a standard on every single South Africans book shelf...it is divine. My sister-in-law in New Zealand shall be getting one very soon...she is going to love it!
As most of you know, I adore Joburg...and we have been hearing about a new book, Spaces and Places, that highlights all those hidden gems the city has to offer. And thanks to friends, I now have a copy. Excited. Except a whole lot of new pictures from new places around Jozi folks.
And can you see that table runner....how perfect for our new place. I have secretly been oggling it at Loads of Living for ages...its now mine.

I think I was literally jumping up and down with excitement.

I also received these flowers from the best ad agency in the world...and they were so beautiful...I just had to take some photos....
And to top it off the parents are taking my clothes shopping on Monday...

I am a very happy and very grateful girl.

Glad to see you had such a great Bday. I got Evita's book for mine in December and at first did not think much of it, until I got into it. Fab SA cooking.

Gorgeous gifts!!!

I saw something the other night while etsy browsing that I think you will love - a stamp of that exact knife and fork. You could use it to stamp linen... hmmm :)
