Moving: Day One.

So the big move began in earnest on Saturday. Thank goodness most of our stuff is still in boxes from the move from Cape Town....only thing is...have you ever moved boxes that have been lying in the same spot for two years...not fun, I tell ya!
We spent the day driving between the two house loading and off-loading stuff...jeepers, we have a lot of stuff. But we could not have done it without the help of these two...
When did we get so lucky, to have people like these in our lives. They spent the entire Saturday helping us move...it was hard work...but as always we laughed our way through it.
Once we had finished for the day...we literally stuffed the braai and the dogs into the back of the car, stopped for supplies and decided to celebrate with our very first braai at our new house...
You know you're moving house when...you are drinking out of plastic wine glasses, sitting on camping chairs, the only table is a dining room chair, you're eating with plastic knives and forks and dinner is served out of some stylish silicone blue cake bowls...
You know you have good friends when...you have no make-up on, walk around with dirty hair all day, are wearing your oldest clothes, and to be honest do not smell that good from a hard days work...but no one gives a damn...
I am overwhelmed by all the friends we have in our lives...they help us without questioning in so many ways...how do you ever say thank you...
A step closer to moving in completely and we are already filling our home with some life long memories...

It looks like hard work and fun was had by all. Those imprompto braai's are simply the best.

It's all happening so fast.

Congrats Hayley - your house looks great! Love the grey lounge below - grey is my favourite colour of the mo & I am absolutely dying to paint a room grey but just don't have a suitable one!

Friends like that should be cherished and you should count your blessings! Don't feel alone; we all have moved into a new house sleeping on air beds watching TV sitting on the floor. LOL! Good times.
