What a day.

We are both completely shattered...

We had plans to spend the day at our new house, potting around in the garden, cleaning the pool....taking it relatively easy....yeah right!

As I type this...I have one 'very sunburnt' body {belonging to my husband}...lying horizontal on the couch...I think I might need to check to see if he is still actually breathing. I have two other bodies {belonging to two bulldogs} passed out at my feet.

This was our day....
Packed up for us and our two bulldogs for the day. Drove to the new house. Cleaned and shock treated the pool. Popped out for a quick breakfast with the parents. Mowed the front and back lawn. Shopped and decided on paint colours for the house. Changed our minds, over and over again, about the flooring. Pruned all the rose bushes. Cut down plants. Made up our minds on the flooring. Had about ten fully fledged trees, cut down and removed from the garden. Met all three of our new neighbours. Painted two walls. Numerous trips between the new and old house. Stopped off for some takeaways on the way home. And made it home just in time for the Manchester United game.

I am about to take this body {belonging to me} and throw it in a big, hot bubble bath....

Enjoy your bubble bath - after I tidy my desk, I'm collapsing with a lovely book!

People who can pick paint colours quickly are amazing - I certainly can't do it!

Oooh - I sooo relate! It's been a year of hard work in our totally "not perfect" "new" home - and there will be a few years' to go.....yet.....it is so the right home for us.

Enjoy the journey!! x
