18 January, 2011

A confession.

Can you see it?
Yip...right there behind me....that big green thing?
Yes...that's right...the Christmas tree is still up! It's the 18th January and it's still up!
All the other decorations are packed away...it's just the tree...I cannot bring myself to take it down. But this weekend it's Project: Stop Being An Idiot And Take Down The Darn Christmas Tree.

I promise...really.

My tree is also still up. Bare (it's a white plastic tree), but still up. I took off the decorations and lights about 2 days ago, but couldn't get any further since hubby decided to throw the box away. Maybe, being white (as is most of our other furniture) I can get away with it being some kind of decor piece until we either move, or need to decorate it again later this year ;)

That's hilarious! I'm quite sure that if I didn't have Beauty, mine would still be up too :) x

Haha! The farmer forced me to take mine down. It has been replanted outside already. xxx

I only took our tree down on Friday (and that's because it was Zander's birthday and I don't think the other moms would have found it funny) lol

If we had a plastic tree, I am sure Kirstey would still have it up. We had to take ours out last week. It had died and gone brittle. We are still finding the odd pine needle around the house.

The pics of you with the tree behind are just so cute. I only took my tree down on the 15th 'cos my mom was coming to dinner the next day!

I don't think there's anything wrong by keeping up the tree for so long. If I had the space, I too would've kept mine up for so long.

Love the photos, so funny.
My mom has always told me its bad luck to have your tree up 12 after Christmas. Not sure if it is true or if she just made it up so we would let the tree down when we were kids.
I only took mine down the other day because she was coming to visit...

Hahaha... Sorry for laughing, but I only took mine down last weekend myself.

I'm not suddenly a weird stalker, I followed you here from Caroline's blog. Always nice to meet other SA bloggers.
