An unexpected perfect day.

With TF away in Cape Town on business...I had this public holiday planned down to the last minute: brave the malls and finish off my Christmas shopping, send off my Christmas cards, finish wrapping the presents, clean out the garage, start sorting out my packing for our quick trip to Cape Town.

That was until, I woke up this morning. It had been raining non-stop in Joburg all night. Our garden was literally under water, it was dark, cold and misty...just the way I like it. But I was not going to take a chance on the roads in weather like that.

So, whats a girl on her own to do on a day like this...
It was very difficult...but I did manage to spend all day on the couch...in my PJ's and winter socks....catching up on all my episodes of Brothers and Sisters...
There were cupcakes to be baked, iced and of course eaten...
I did venture out quickly...to stock up on as many home magazines that I could get my hands on...
Copious amounts of tea was drunk and chocolate was eaten...and of course, because it was such hard work...a few naps were taken in between..
I am now about to climb under the duvet, with yet another cup of tea...and some more magazines...
A totally unplanned, unexpected most perfect day ever...that to-do list can wait an extra day.

Good night all.

Am going to have an afternoon a bit lke that starting now - except no cupcakes!

Think Lindt chocolate may be in order tho.

So lovely to have time on our own to chill huh?

Oh Hayley if you could just see the snow from the inside of our house and feel the temp of the rooms - pure bliss I tell you, it seems to feel so Christmasy.
