Perfect start to our Christmas.

Although we had only four days in Cape Town, we managed to to fit a whole lot of stuff into those four days. It was the perfect Christmas weekend...we did things, we spent time with the family and even better we got time to do nothing...all rolled into one perfect weekend.

First stop, after landing in the Mother City...was lunch at Joostenberg. They have the most awesome deli...I could have spent hours and plenty of rands there.
Next stop...Mooiplaas. Not sure if you are getting the pattern here...my family are huge wine drinkers...so any chance we get...its too the wine farms we go.
They had the most beautiful gardens...and my nephews literally spent hours playing. I remember as a little girl, my favourite thing to do was to play in a garden like this...and pretend to live there...so I loved watching them playing.
And lastly...we popped in at Bellevue Wine Estate...
And that's all before we headed out to favourite little restaurant in Gordons Bay...Miguels Al Forna, for an early dinner...
A busy...but perfect start to the Christmas weekend...

That shell shop has been in Gordon's Bay since I was about 6 - can you believe it? Brings back a million memories.

What lovely pics of a gorgeous place. My hubby visited Cape Town years ago and loved it.

Hope that you had a wonderful Christmas!

(and am adding you to my links so that I remember to visit more often ;-) )
