Funny Name. Serious Sandwich.

As most of you know...considering I have mentioned it a million and one times on this blog...I adore America...and I adore their food.

One of our all time favourite American  restaurants, is the famous Katz's Delicatessen, in New York City. Everyones knows about Katz, but if you don't you can read all about it here. Their corned beef sandwiches are out of this world...and that's no exaggeration.
We've been searching for something similar in South Africa ever since....no such luck, not even close.

That was until this morning. TF has been raving about a new little take-away place in Sandton City, called Schlotzky's. And he finally managed to drag me to it this morning....
Please excuse the dodgy cellphone pics
Oh. My. Soul. I think we may have a contender. The menu is straight outta New York people...I nearly died from happiness. I could decide what to pick, but eventually settled on the 'Original', on sourdough bread.
If you are ever in the vicinity, grab a sandwich...you will die in sandwich heaven.

I am so excited...I am even doing a blog post over a sandwich...it's that good. And while it might never quiet live up to Katz's Deli...it sure is close enough.

Oh good heavens that photo made me drool!

One crap thing about being gluten intolerant - no more proper sandwiches!
