Appreciating these little days of celebration.

A very happy Mothers Day, to all the Mom's in my life...to my Mom, my Mother-in-law, my sister, my sister-in-law, my aunts, my cousins, my friends and to everyone out there.

I must be honest, I never really 'gotten' Mothers Day, or Fathers Day. I mean we have always celebrated them, I have kinda just always thought it was...well...nice, but nothing major...do you know what I mean?

But I think as I have gotten older, I have started to appreciate days like these. Especially when you start to realise and understand how much our parents have done for us, when you witness your husband losing his mother, when you have family living on the other side of the world, when you realise that becoming a mother or father, for some people is not so easy as they said it would be. I have realised that these little days of celebration are actually so important.

To my Mom....

You need to know how very much I love you. How grateful I am, that you are my Mom. That even though you can drive me crazy, I know that you do it because you love me. That I am so proud to be your daughter.

You all have to pop over to one of my new favourite blogs, and read this post...I think it's a pretty incredible post.

So true Hayley. What I don't get is husbands/father's who make no effort on Mother's Day - they so need to realise that little is it about the gifts but about feeling appreciated and loved for the hard job mothers do!

Lovely post.
