interview me part one.

There is this fun new game going around where bloggers are asked questions by other bloggers. Its a great way of getting to know each other. So the fabulous Simply-Mel, sent me five questions to answer. Only problem is, I think each answer will be a post in itself. Which is great, seeing as though nothing much is happening here. So bear with me as I answer each question.

Question 1: Please tell us the story of how you met your man. Include your first impression of him.
Answer 1: Oooooh, this is my favourite story to tell. It was the year 2000, and I had kinda been in a relationship on and off for seven years. So my one new years resolution that year was that I needed to move on and that the next guy I meet, I was going to put all my energy in getting to know him etc. You see before that, every time I did meet anyone, I would land up going back to the ex, after not giving the poor new bloke any chance.

It was at a work function, we both worked at one of the big banks, but we had never met before. I was organising the function, an exhibition to be exact, and I had requested staff from a certain division to be on duty. Francois was one of these staff members. I noticed him immediately when I arrived, but I had work to do, so I introduced myself and left. Finally after, about half an hour, I decided I better go over and spend some time with the guys working at our stand. Best decision EVER! Francois and I hit it off right away, we chatted for like forever. He was literally the first guy I met that year. It was meant to be.
I remember him telling me that his Mom and Sister lived in New Zealand, and I asked him, why he was still here {in South Africa}, and his answer was "I am waiting to meet a South African girl to marry first"....and I thought right away..."Please let that be me".

I knew then and there that this was something. I fell in love.
We have never been apart since. We got engaged five months later, and married a year after we met.

So, that's question one done....keep checking in for the next lot...I know you are riveted to your seats!

Let me know if you'd like to play along and I'll send you some questions!

1. Leave me a comment saying interview me and your email address.
