A year ago yesterday we landed in New York City and now I am sad. If you are wondering what the hell I am sad about...it's because I am completely and utterly obsessed with America (after South Africa, of course). Yes, I know...how can I be obsessed with a country...and America of all countries...but I am...that's just how it is.

So I am taking the week to reminisce about how holiday in NY and Washington and to day dream about living there...like I would ever have the balls to leave South Africa...but I can pretend...can't I?

So, if you suddenly see random photo's popping up, please excuse me.

I am off to stare at my Christmas decorations from Pottery Barn...could not fit the whole shop in my case, so I had to settle for about a hundred or so of Christmas decorations.

Pottery Barn does have nice things, don't they? I bet those decorations are beautiful, and hopefully they will remind you of your time in America but not make you sad that you're not there.

Start planning your next visit! :)

I am also very sad. Watched the New York marathon yesterday and it killed me, knowing we were cheering Dad on in Central Park last year. Woe is me....

Maybe you two could get back to America one day. If you do, know that some friends in South Carolina would love to see you both! You are welcome here anytime. My wife is a good cook, so she could fix you a delicious South Carolina meal too. :)
